The goal of our research is to develop targeted treatments to optimize neural plasticity in the central nervous system.  In other words, to stimulate spinal cord pathways spared by the injury to improve recovery.  This will allow us to personalize treatment. In particular, one of our research projects involves a novel treatment called repeated transcranial magnetic stimulation or rTMS.
