Best Presentation Award – Canadian Neuromodulation Society
We are proud to highlight the achievement of Héloïse Bourgeois, a master’s student in biomedical research, who received the Best Presentation Award at the annual conference of the Canadian Neuromodulation Society, held in June 2025.
Supervised by her director Marco Bonizzato, and co-supervised by Dorothy Barthélemy and Alexander Weil, Héloïse presented research conducted within our laboratory focusing on human cortical control of gait. Using non-invasive cortical stimulation, this work demonstrates that the motor cortex plays a key role in modulating foot lift during walking.
This recognition highlights the quality of the team’s research and its contribution to the field of neuromodulation and human mobility. Congratulations to Héloïse and to everyone involved in this work.
